Any offensive armaments like the Mortar Strike can be excellent at quickly removing the Terminus forces around an extractor, just be careful not to get caught in the effect area. Throwable tactical and lethal equipment are also effective in this regard - when choosing between Epic tactical gear options, the Cymbal Monkeys or the Kazimir Device , the latter will pull the mercenaries into the blackhole effect , similar to zombies, making it more effective when dispatching a large group of Terminus goons . While the Cymbal Monkey does have an effective blast radius, the Mercenaries do not fall prey to the upbeat tune and will not gather around the explosion the way zombies would. Claymores and proximity mines can be useful at deterring recon assailants , but be cautious of proximity mine placement not to accidentally catch yourself in the blast if triggered by a mercenary. Thermite is also highly effective against groups and heavily armored troops like the shocktroop

The most reliable way for players to find high tier rewards and earn aether essence , the in-game spendable currency used to buy perks and Pack-a-Punch upgrades, is to complete contracts scattered throughout Urzikstan. With a variety of contracts that range from twists on classic Outbreak missions like the Aether Extractors to brand-new challenges like the Spore Control contracts, players will have plenty of challenges to fight through while exploring Modern Warfare Zomb

When players are clear to approach the extractor, interact with the computer on board to begin the disabling process. Players will have to hold the input and the position for a few moments, so make sure all forces are down or squadmates are providing effective cover . Crouching or going prone is an option while disabling an extractor for extra cover (it appears progress stops when going prone, but when standing back up the progress bar displays properly). Players are free to look around during this time as well, assessing the threats nearby and determining next steps. Players will be stuck in place for a short moment once the extractor is disabled , but be ready to move - the extractor will soon detonate , dealing a large amount of damage in a short area. Don't get caught in the blast rad

Ironically enough, it has been described as a nightmare to play by fans. There are long falls into damage-inducing slime, mandatory tightrope walking sections to progress, copious amounts of platforming, and punishing enemy placements that sour the experience. There’s even a section at the end of the level where slipping into the toxic waste will leave the player unable to escape, and they'll eventually die. Considering its bloated size, it’s also a terrible choice for deathmatches, and it's no wonder it was never ported to the PlayStation? versi

The Spore Control contract is a brand-new mission for Call of Duty zombies. Players will have to use the provided Aether Inhibitors to destroy the defensive shell on each of the spores in the contract area before shooting each of the spores to destroy them. The area will be infested with zombies , and a single inhibitor will take a few moments to destroy the hard shell protecting the spore from bullet damage, so players will have to evade the hordes and hold out in the area for a few brief moments until all spores nearby can be inhibited and destroyed. Once players destroy the final spore, the contract will end, a small aether blast will eliminate most of the surrounding zombies - keep an eye out, as some shamblers will often remain . If players are low on health after completing the contract, stay vigilant until your health regenerates. Don't let a straggling shambler kill you while grabbing your rewards. Once all nearby threats are removed, open the Reward Rift and claim the acquisitions or schematics ins

Another perk with a rocky history, Tombstone Soda is back in Modern Warfare Zombies , now better than ever. When the perk first appeared in Black Ops 2, it failed to find a solid footing and quickly disappeared after appearing in Tranzit. Ten years later, Tombstone is back and more effective than ever. One of the best tools a solo player can have in their arsenal, while active, if players die and fail to exfil from a slg game missions they will drop a tombstone at the location of death . On the next deployment, players will be able to find their grave site from the previous game, interact with the tombstone, and reacquire all items from the previous g

After grabbing the Aether Extractors contract phone and downloading the intel, players should take a moment to drop any pursuing zombies or hounds before moving to the contract area. Players will have t hree minutes to fight through the three squads of mercenaries and disable the extractors before the onboard rockets launch and extract all the collected aether - so, while moving quickly is a priority, it is crucial to remove any threats that can sneak up on players when fighting the mercenaries. Move with a sense of urgency but be deliberate in clearing corners and ensuring all mercenaries are dealt with before attempting to disable an extractor.
