Most modern-day Americans are familiar with the popular thriller The Shining , which was written by Stephen King and later adapted into a film by Stanley Kubrick. GTA V creators have incorporated the ability for players to dress Trevor in the same clothing as Jack Torrance (the main character from the film). The jacket is called "Overlooked Red Jacket" which is no coincidence since Jack Torrance stays at The Overlook hotel in the movie/book. Trevor is uncannily similar to Jack not just in dress, but also in his balding hair. Not to mention, he’s a bit psychotic like old Jack, hims

This conspiracy theory got so out of control that it even made the front page of various video game news sites . Basically, the theory asks one single, terrifying question: What if everyone was out to get you? This particular legend has to do with GTA Online , which is divorced from the Mount Chiliad Mystery and most other phenomena in the game. Basically, after an update that added bikers, GTA Online players started to notice that they were being aggressively targeted by NPC drivers. That aggression started to ramp up over time, with cars straight-up plowing into player vehicles for seemingly no reason. That’s a big deal. Vehicular accidents in online mode can rack up an impressive bill. Maybe Rockstar is trying to squeeze more money out of an already inflated economy and these NPCs are trying to take out those who got too close to the tr

There are so many games already scheduled for 2017 that we couldn’t include them all. Not only is this a list of the games we’re more excited to play, but the ones we think are most likely to actually release this year. With any luck, by this time next year, we’ll have played every game here and be raving about how much they met (or didn’t meet) our expectations. It’s impossible not to be looking forward to something here, there is just too much coming

As it turns out, Los Santos has its own serial killer, Merle Abrahams, and amateur sleuths have parsed his clues to find the spot where he stashed his victims' bodies. The mystery starts at the killer's house in Sandy Shores, Blaine County. Inside the burnt down house is a message that reads "there will be 8," a reference to the number of people Merle supposedly killed. Other clues are scattered across the map–a morose poem scrawled on a rock, a creepy etching in a prison cell, a newspaper clipping in an abandoned shack–all leading to the location of the bodies just off the coast of Paleto Bay. Hats off to Rockstar for including an actual conspiracy in GTA V that that players can work to unra

When an emergency or a crime is taking place, the police is usually not notified until someone calls 9-1-1. And even then, it takes a while before they arrive, may it be because your call is not a priority at that moment, or because of traffic. Whatever the reason, they don’t spawn instantly at the scene. However, in GTA V , the emergency services seem to be aware you’re committing a crime the instant you start act

There are really eerie sounds that can be heard inside the sewers in GTA V . There's been a longstanding myth that Ratman inhabits the sewers. This seems pretty far-fetched until players realized that when they shot the rats in the sewers, it would cause large splashing noises and the sound of a man(?) yelling out. A loud heartbeat can also be heard throughout the sewers, along with footsteps as if the player is being followed. There were many hoaxes in GTA IV where players created mods and claimed that they'd found "the real" Ratman, but maybe Rockstar Games is trying to keep the urban myth alive. This is an area to check out in a dark room, preferably with headphones to add to the eff

Head out to Tongva Valley and you might be in for a bumpy ride, at least that's what some GTA V players think. One of the newer conspiracy theories to crop up around the game, the Tongva Triangle, which spreads across much of the Tongva Valley and cuts straight across the mysterious Fort Zancudo, is ground zero for some of the more… ambiguous anomalies in the game–the kinds of myths that turn even the most ardent believers into skeptics. Strange happenings in the Tongva Triangle include swamp monster sightings, oddly irate drivers, number stations broadcasting at odd hours and Slenderman himself, among others. While it's not unreasonable to assume that GTA V might include a downed UFO in the Tongva Triangle (it does), the presence of Slenderman, a semi-Open world games strategy sourced internet villain, in a Rockstar game is a little harder to swal

We’ve been burned before. Ok… We’ve been burned over and over and over again for years. But'everything about Sonic Mania looks like it will be the best Sonic the Hedgehog game since the Genesis. During the Sonic 25th anniversary event, SEGA proudly presented Sonic Mania to Sonic fans young and old. They have earned the right to a certain amount of bravado since Sonic Mania looks like a dream follow-up to _Sonic & Knuckles _ made by people who understand and love those original games. It remains to be seen if they tie everything together, but it’s been ages since we’ve seen a Sonic the Hedgehog game with so much style and presence. After years of being disappointed, it would be delightful to have such an iconic video game character emerge triumphan
